How much is too much to spend on a friend? It's an issue that many of us have struggled with at some point. Personally, I'm of the opinion that it's not worth sweating the small stuff; I don't see a problem with treating them to a coffee or similar every so often. I'd like to think that I am friends with the kind of people who would return the favor, anyway.

However, you have to tread carefully if you are close to individuals who like to take liberties. Freeloaders are everywhere if you care to look, and the most outrageous thing is that they never tolerate the same behavior from you.

This is something that one woman learned the hard way recently after her so-called friend of fourteen years Venmo requested her for a beer she didn't even ask for after he had emptied her fridge of food and drink.
